The project is designed with an objective of Enabling 50 displaced young women citizens with skills and resources to create and take advantage of social entrepreneurial opportunities using technological innovation in creating local solutions for economic and social issues. We seeked building up capacities of 50 creative, energized women through using of the market assessment to design an extensive camp training program, in Al- Turbah, Taiz governorate with consideration preventive procedure, on social entrepreneurship concept using technology innovation. Moreover, the participants trained in marketing plan, financial management, business plan development, legal concepts, soft skills and technology tools. All of these prepared young women with the soft skills needed for successful interaction in the marketplace with 10 social entrepreneurs’ start-up ideas that helped in solving local social and economic issues. Training has been attached to a follow up and mentorship stage were all the 50 participants has been distributing to 10 teams and provided them with consultation sessions with specialists, successful start- ups founder to develop their enterprises for 2 months. Through their mentorship stage, they have been introduced to local and regional opportunities to represent and develop their ideas. After this stage, a pitching conference has been holed for the 10 teams who presented their final start-ups developed ideas with a specialized committee to choose 6 ideas qualified to go to the next stage. In the next stage, an open access to a business incubator with logistic, technical and financial support have been giving to them.
Through the 6-months period of follow up the project, team evaluated the 6 teams. They have been required to submit a budget plan and then we provided them with seeds-fund to level up their enterprises development. Project team followed teams in how they are spending the seed fund to the efficient way. We focused on the technological solutions as technology plays a prominent role and it has become cost effective to solve social issues.
