According to an initial questionnaire conducted by the organization, 50% of children under the age of 16 in main cities possess mobile devices or tablets and 30% do connect to the Internet.
The importance of the program is linked to the need to protect children from the unsafe use of the Internet, which may be harmful to childhood. In some cases, victimization by individuals and groups who want to exploit children could take place. In addition to that, this could lead to exposure to health problems and school dropouts.
Therefore, there is an increasing need to launch an important campaign to raise awareness of the extent of those risks and to educate the child and the family through training programs, workshops and access to schools and kindergartens.
The organization plans to set up workshops, in correlation with children's training courses, to include parental monitoring in order to help parents follow their children as they come to the network as a form of community protection.
