The Yemeni Organization for Development and Exchange Technology (YODET) is launching in association with the Yemen Youth Arena project of RNW Media the Digital Security and Privacy Protection Program on the Internet. The first session was held in the capital Sana'a, targeting 18 trainees from different sectors of society. It covered important topics such as risk assessment, protection against virus, data protection, security browsing and mobile protection.
The program will be implemented in Sana'a, Aden and Hodeidah and will continue until the end of this year. This program is the first of its kind in Yemen in light of the technical progress and increasing risks on the network as there is an increasing demand to follow the safety rules and privacy procedures to secure personal computers and accounts.
